It took me a while to ask about the Oppenheimer plot.

I mean I saw the posters and I love the actors but if we’re being honest, Nolan can direct an episode of Fancy Nancy and I’ll watch it.

But to get me to get out of my comfy bed to sit in a theater for THREE HOURS, I need to know the plot.

I pride myself on being pretty knowledgeable but I didn’t know who Oppenheimer was and why he was worthy of a long biopic.

I’m intrigued enough to catch it on a matinee.

Now…Barbie…I don’t care what the plot is…

It’s going to be campy and completely silly. That’s OK. You had me at pink…and at Ryan. 🤫

There’s a masterclass here in simply observing how the collective responds to these two very different films dropping at the same time.

On one hand we have the south node in Libra film – Barbie which is all sparkle and levity.

It’s pretty chill and totally reflects Venusian vibes.

On the other hand we have the north node in Aries film – Oppenheimer which is literally about fire and destruction.

It’s the embodiment of both Pluto and Mars.

You couldn’t better script this kind of symbolism.

Watching movies is an investment in terms of time, money, and emotional energy.

  • Are we invested in the story?
  • Do we like the actors or director?
  • How do we want to feel after watching the movie?

These are all emotional expectations we make to decide if we are going to click the “buy” button for tickets at a movie theater with other people DURING a pandemic.

Depending on your timeline activities, you’ve probably seen many of the Barbie marketing activations. Mattel doesn’t play with their IP and any kind of collaboration required significant investment in marketing.

The lesson here is how INVESTED are you in your brand + business?

The nodes moved from Taurus/Scorpio to Aries/Libra this week and the way I look at it – these shifts offer us an opportunity to write a new chapter for our brand, business, and life.

This is a great time to start a new chapter on how you will invest in your personal growth and how you will allow the collective to support your vision.

I was never one for groups and little by little, I’m understanding why but that’s more of a personal discovery thing. The truth is, the concept of self-made is bullshit. Don’t let the boss babe influencers convince you otherwise.

Nothing about your success is self-made – not if you rely on customers to generate income.

It’s pretty dope that Barbie seems to embody the Libra energy which is all about collaborations and the entire world of Barbie is full of other Barbies to help her figure her shit out.

She’s not alone in her magic, and neither are you.
