I’m Vicky – strategist, storyteller, systems architect for the ones who learned early that being indispensable was the safest way to survive. You became the contingency plan. The emotional regulator. The one who anticipated risk before it surfaced and over-delivered before anyone could question you. It worked. It built your reputation. It built your authority. But it also trained you to equate worth with output and safety with exhaustion.
My work is rooted in survival intelligence: the hyper-competence, political awareness, pattern recognition, and over-functioning you develop inside extraction culture and performance-driven hierarchies.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Instructional Design and Educational Technology, and I’m completing a Doctorate in Business Administration, specializing in Strategy and Innovation. My research examines what happens when strategy ignores capacity, context, and power. I study how authority operates, how institutions reward over-performance, and how growth becomes fragile when infrastructure is an afterthought.
Over the last 20+ years, I’ve worked across media, startups, workforce development, and education, collaborating with organizations including NBCUniversal, Vme TV, FIU’s Ratcliffe Startup Studio, NYC Department of Small Business Services, The Alley, and The Latinista. I don’t romanticize institutions, and I don’t pretend they’re neutral. I understand exactly how they operate – who holds power, how incentives distort behavior, and how visibility is negotiated. I teach my clients how to move inside those structures without illusion: when to perform, when to withhold, when to sacrifice for leverage, and when to build an entirely separate lane.
