This full moon is the full circle moment of the new moon in Pisces back in March.
I’m a Pisces and I was sooooo ready to break free from Pisces season, so my heart goes out to y’all.
But let’s go back to that time.
- What were you doing at that time?
- What intentions did you set?
- What was going on with your brand + business?
Full moons are a time of completion. When I say this is a time to release, it’s because coming full circle means letting go. So what do you need to let go?
Pisces is the best sign of the zodiac and that’s totally because my sun sign is in Pisces! Why I love this sign is because it’s so tethered to fantasy.
Neptune is one of the rulers and this can be a fantastic energy to harness for creativity.
However, on the flip side, this can also be over-indulgence in illusions, drowning in all things that are unrealistic.
Vulnerability alert: One of the reasons why I love being an entrepreneur is because in many ways it saved me. I’m prone to addictions.
I’d love to blame it on being a Pisces but I’m still pretty pragmatic. I know a lot of it is also on me and my sub-par coping skills.
If we’re being honest, I simply took on entrepreneurship as an other addiction by becoming so obsessed with my work that other areas of my life became severely neglected.
However, our society values labor more than it does emotional health so being a work addict is many time revered especially in entrepreneurship. Had I not gotten into this, I could have, and still have tendencies, to over-indulge in alcohol.
At one point in my 20s I thought it was starting to get problematic. But then I discovered that success is it’s own drug and I was hooked, constantly on the hunt for my next fix. Landing a new client always induces a high in me.
I bring this up because Pisces energy during a full moon is giving us an opportunity to release any addictions that we may have.
Whether you’re over-indulging or a full blown addict in some capacity, this is your opportunity to break free.
I don’t want to make light of this topic. Addictions are serious in any scenario. In this context, we’re going to touch on this topic as it relates your entrepreneurial journey, because these habits are wrecking havoc on your ability to thrive, even if you don’t see it right away.
I can easily look at my hustle and identify several addictions that I’ve had to address. We can start with caffeine and how that almost had some lasting physical effects.
When I was in my 20s and going through my “crush it at all cost” phase, I was holding down a full-time job, freelancing on the side, producing shows which also meant attending rehearsals, scouting venues, participating in meetings, and all that good stuff that comes with NOT SLEEPING.
And I don’t mean getting by on 5 hours of sleep a night. At the height of my hustle I was averaging 5 hours of sleep over the course several days.
I relied heavily on caffeine to get me through long meetings at work and then shift into entrepreneurial hustle mode through 4am the next day, only to wake up at 6:30am, in time for the day job.
I did this for several weeks and had a few health scares as the result.
My story shows how a common addiction to caffeine can be used as a weapon against our own wellness.
Under the guise of entrepreneurship, I used this addiction to make me a “better” entrepreneur.
When you look at your hustle, are there addictions that you have which are working against your own best interest? Maybe for you it’s not caffeine. Maybe for you it’s social media. 🤔
Use this Pisces energy to identify those habits that aren’t serving you, your brand, and your business.
Write them down and work your magic to make sure you LET. THEM. GO!
