Vicky Ayala

Hello. My name is
and I am a storyteller,
business coach and digital entrepreneur.

My Name is Vicky Ayala and I am a storyteller, business coach and digital entrepreneur. This is my story.

By day, I show others how to creatively leverage the Internet for their brands. By night, I moonlight as a writer and filmmaker.

In 2001, I was working with the displaced workers of the September 11 attacks. The workforce was a scary place to be. Employers weren't hiring and finding a job became painfully difficult. It was around this time that I began to consult with individuals who wanted to start their own businesses.

I quickly became addicted to the stories of ambition and perserverance. I was not only fascinated with the passion others had for their businesses but I was tapping into my right brain to help them develop their business models. It wasn't until I taught myself web design and development that I realized I was filling a huge void.

Along the way I acquired skills in entertainment production and digital marketing including search engine optimization, blogger outreach, email marketing and metrics analysis.

It was in June of 2006 that I realized the irony of expecting to think outside of the box while working in a cubicle. It was at that moment that I accepted one truth about myself:

A traditional 9-5 was not for me.

Many of the clients I work with feel the same. In fact, they're either in the process of creating the lifestyle they want to live or they're ready to make changes that will take their business to the next level.

In my journey as an entrepreneur I've had the opportunity to connect with some very special people. It started in Miami, where I had fleed to from the brutal Upstate NY winters. I helped address the digital divide for underserved communities. I even taught computer classes to young kids.

After I came back from Miami, I organized and facilitated monthly brunches with the Downtown Womens Club, in NYC. I met some really cool solopreneurs who had similar challenges: marketing.

When I come to think of it, my journey may not be too different from yours. We both want to do something that we're passionate about. We both want to design a lifestyle that gives us flexibility and stability.

In 2006, I was introduced to the world of advanced SEO at the digital agency 360i, where I managed organic link building efforts for various NBC web properties. I got my feet wet in the startup world as a marketing manager for the local classifieds Flugpo.

My professional circle was completed in when I freelanced for the Hispanic television network Vme Media, where I supported their web production including a live video stream complete with a real-time online audience engagement, discussing the Immigration law in Arizona.

My background was diversified with intent. I wanted to gain a comprehensive knowledge base in traditional and digital media so that I was prepared to offer effective and relevant solutions that are considerate to the needs of a small business owner.

I started Left Right Brain Media because I found that combining my passion for creating with my expertise in creative marketing was a great way to empower other small business owners with tech skills. If I can help others feel more comfortable with technology as well as feel confident about their ability to succeed then I've done my job.

Together, we address your core marketing issues by identifying opportunities where you can increase awareness to your brand, captivate an audience, turn a profit or make a difference.

I am committed to empowering other entrepreneurs with the tools and resources needed to effectively navigate the digital world. As a born-again geek, I want to give the gift of technology to the small business owner.

"Instead of worrying about what people say of you, why not spend time trying to accomplish something they will admire."
